The Opportunity:

ABOUT THE ROLE

Eyecandy Robotics is building next-generation entertainment robots that bring animated characters to life in the physical world. We're looking for a 3D Animator to create expressive, stylized character motion for our robots and digital prototypes.

You'll help define how our characters move, emote, and come alive while working closely with design, engineering, and product. The majority of your work will focus on robot motion and character rigging pipelines, with some screen-based animation for pitch materials and digital demos.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Create expressive character animations for physical entertainment robots

  • Develop motion libraries for emotions, gestures, and interactions

  • Collaborate with engineers to translate animations into robot-compatible motion constraints

  • Iterate on timing, weight, and personality across animation reviews

  • Build and maintain organized rigs and animation pipelines in Blender

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • Strong animation fundamentals

  • Ability to create motion that reads as emotionally alive, not mechanical

  • Experience with Blender (preferred); Technical knowledge is a plus

  • A portfolio showing character animation; especially expressive, personality-driven work

  • Interest in physical characters, robotics, or interactive entertainment is a plus

  • Comfortable working in an early-stage environment where pipelines are still being built

We're flexible on compensation. The pay offered for this role will be decided based on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
