Responsibilities:

 Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, and sales, to understand market trends, customer needs, and business objectives.

 Research and analyze market trends, consumer preferences, and competitive landscape to identify opportunities for new product development and innovation.

 Conceptualize and sketch new ideas, considering factors such as aesthetics, functionality, materials, and manufacturing feasibility.

 Develop detailed product specifications, including dimensions, materials, colors, and finishes, and create technical drawings and 3D renderings using design software.

 Create prototypes and mock-ups of new product designs, iterating and refining concepts based on feedback from internal stakeholders and user testing.

 Work closely with suppliers, manufacturers, and artisans to source materials, refine prototypes, and ensure product quality and consistency.

 Collaborate with the sourcing and production teams to manage the product development process from concept to launch, ensuring timelines and budget constraints are met.

 Conduct product testing and evaluation to assess performance, durability, and user experience, and incorporate findings into design iterations.

 Stay informed about emerging design trends, technologies, and materials relevant to the industry, and integrate insights into product development efforts.

 Maintain organized documentation of design concepts, specifications, and project timelines, and communicate updates and progress to relevant stakeholders.

Qualifications:

 Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, or related field.

 Proven experience in product design, preferably within the lighting or home decor industry.

 Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar tools.

 Strong sketching and conceptualization skills, with the ability to translate ideas into visually compelling designs.

 Knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and production techniques relevant to home decor products.

 Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to balance aesthetics, functionality, and feasibility in design solutions.

 Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and present ideas and concepts to diverse audiences.

 Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
