ThunderClap is on the hunt for a talented and creative Motion Designer. As a Sr. Motion Designer here, you’ll work closely with designers, developers, and strategists to create engaging and innovative animations for websites.

This role requires a keen eye for design, storytelling abilities, and a strong understanding of how motion can enhance user experience and engagement. If you have a passion for creativity and an eye for detail, we want you to help us make some noise in the digital world!

What exactly is your role?

- Develop high-quality animations, micro-interactions, and transitions for websites that align with brand identity and elevate user experience.

- Work closely with UX/UI designers, brand designers, and developers to ensure motion assets align with the project’s objectives, technical requirements, and brand guidelines.

- Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute creative ideas to enhance our projects.

- Refine and improve animations based on feedback from the team and clients, demonstrating adaptability and attention to detail.

- Efficiently manage multiple projects, meeting deadlines while maintaining a good standard of quality and creativity.

- Work on internal projects to showcase ThunderClap’s portfolio in the form of social posts and case study videos.

- Animate engaging Explainer videos based on pre-designed storyboards and visual assets.

- Stay updated on motion design trends, tools, and technologies, and incorporate innovative techniques that push creative boundaries.

Requirements

- 3+ years of professional experience in Motion Design, with a strong portfolio demonstrating a range of styles and techniques.

- Proficiency in industry-standard softwares such as Adobe After Effects and other relevant tools.

- Strong understanding of visual storytelling, timing, and design fundamentals, with the ability to create cohesive, on-brand motion graphics.

- Meticulous attention to detail, with a high level of quality control and a strong sense of timing and rhythm in animations.

- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively.

- Ability to take constructive feedback and iterate on animations.

- Time management skills and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.

Bonus Skills

- Familiarity with web animation requirements like Lottie and Rive

- Ability to create storyboards to convey motion concepts to clients

- Knowledge of 3D animation techniques

- Knowledge of communication design or illustration
