ABOUT SYQI

Syqi is a design and tech studio based in Bangalore. We work with founders and product/brand teams at companies like Razorpay, Pine Labs, HDFC, Ramco Systems and Zomato, alongside a growing slate of AI-native startups. Our work covers brand systems, product and web design, motion, sonic branding and end-to-end web engineering. We're small, senior, and share the room with people who care about craft.

THE ROLE

We're hiring a design generalist whose core strength is visual communication. This is a hands-on studio role. You'll work across brand, marketing, editorial, product-adjacent and campaign work, sometimes in the same week, for a client roster that ranges from stealth AI startups to enterprise fintech.

If you love the full range of visual design (typography, layout, brand systems, editorial, digital, print, decks that don't look like decks), and you want to work in a place where every project is treated seriously, this is the seat.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

• Brand systems and identity work for AI-native and fintech clients

• Marketing and campaign assets across digital, social, print and OOH

• Editorial and content design (essays, reports, presentations, sales collateral)

• Web design in collaboration with our engineering side

• Product and UI design as part of a broader brand system

• Working directly with founders and leadership on visual direction

WHO YOU ARE

• 2 to 5 years of visual design experience. Portfolio matters more than years

• Strong typographic instincts and layout craft

• Comfortable across brand, marketing, editorial and digital surfaces

• AI-native. You use AI tools (Weave, Midjourney, Higgsfield, Runway, ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity) as part of daily workflow, not as a novelty

• Sharp on feedback, direct in communication, opinionated in a good way

• Curious. If you don't know something, you find out

OPEN TO LEARNING

• Motion. After Effects fundamentals, or a willingness to build them up. We do enough motion work that you'll get plenty of runway to develop the craft on real projects, not tutorials

WHAT WE'RE NOT ASKING FOR

• A specific school or design pedigree

• Every skill on every list. We want a strong core with room to grow

• 50-hour weeks. We ship well because we work smart, not because we grind

• Small team, senior seat, direct access to founders and clients

• Hybrid. Bangalore preferred, remote considered for the right person

• Real projects with real budgets and real deadlines from day one
