About Amaha
Amaha (formerly InnerHour) was founded in 2016 by psychiatrist Dr. Amit Malik and joined in 2019 by social entrepreneur Neha Kirpal. We’re building India’s most trusted, comprehensive mental health ecosystem. Today, our work spans a high-impact self-care app used by millions, outpatient centres across Bengaluru, Mumbai and Delhi, and a new state-of-the-art inpatient hospital in Bengaluru.
Across all our services, our integrated model ensures no one has to navigate their mental health journey alone. Our 200+ experts collaborate every day to bring together clinical excellence, technology, and compassion — delivering care that’s evidence-based, accessible, and deeply human.
About the Role
Amaha is looking for a Design Intern to join the Founder’s Office — Experience Design. You’ll work closely with the Experience Design Lead on projects that cut across brand, product, communication, and internal experience initiatives. This role is perfect for someone who wants broad exposure to how design operates in a fast-growing, impact-driven organisation and wants to grow beyond just visual execution.
What You’ll Work On
You’ll primarily support design execution across digital and visual touchpoints. This includes:
Figma-based visual design for web sections, landing pages, campaigns, and small interface layouts.
Brand and communication assets across print, social media, email, and internal collaterals.
Templates, design libraries, and reusable systems that help maintain visual consistency across teams.
You’ll also assist with broader experience design efforts, such as:
Light journey mapping, experience flows, or research synthesis when useful.
Cross-functional Founder’s Office projects, which may include product inputs, service experience improvements, or presentation design for strategic initiatives.
The scope is intentionally wide — you’ll engage with many parts of the organisation and help lift the clarity, quality, and cohesiveness of our design outputs.
What You’ll Learn
You’ll gain exposure to how design influences decisions at an org-wide level and contributes to a large, diverse user base. You will learn:
How to design for consistency and scale across multiple touchpoints.
How design shapes strategy, communication, and user experience — not just visuals.
How cross-functional teams work inside a mental health organisation.
How to approach impact-driven design with constraints, insights, and measurable outcomes.
You will receive ongoing mentorship, feedback, and portfolio guidance directly from the Experience Design Lead.
Who We’re Looking For
A student or recent graduate who enjoys visual design, problem-solving, and is comfortable in Figma.
Ideal qualities include:
Figma proficiency and a strong visual sensibility
Curiosity, ownership, and openness to learning across different areas of design
A portfolio that shows your approach (academic or personal work is absolutely fine)
Bonus:
Skills in animation, illustration, or video editing
Interest in mental health, behaviour, or impact-driven design
Why This Role Is Special
Being part of the Founder’s Office means working on high-context, high-impact projects, gaining visibility into strategic decisions, and understanding how design shapes both user and organisational experiences. Strong performers may be considered for a full-time role.
