The Opportunity:
We are an early-stage venture working at the intersection of consumer experiences, IoT hardware, and retail spaces. We’re building compact, smart devices that combine embedded systems with high-touch, physical interfaces to reimagine everyday interactions.
Key Responsibilities (for our Perfume Discovery Kiosk)
Embedded & MCU Systems
• Lead the design and firmware development for the custom MCU board handling scent diffusion, intensity control, and safety logic
• Implement deterministic, real-time control for pumps, motors, sensors, and dispensing mechanisms
• Build robust fault detection, handling, and recovery mechanisms
MCU–HMI Communication
• Define and implement a clear, well-documented communication protocol between MCU and HMI
• Ensure clean separation of concerns between real-time control and UI/compute layers
• Support commands, telemetry, state sync, and error reporting
System Integration
• Integrate the MCU layer with an off-the-shelf HMI/compute board responsible for:
• Ad screen playback and scheduled playlists
• QR scan flows (scan → landing page → CTA)
• Connectivity and basic analytics
• Work closely with frontend, backend, and product teams to ensure smooth end-to-end flows
Remote Monitoring & Reliability
• Enable basic remote monitoring:
• Online/offline status
• Key system events
• Faults and alerts
• Support OTA or upgrade paths where required for MVP stability
MVP to Production Readiness
• Drive the system from prototype to MVP-ready hardware
• Support BOM finalisation, vendor coordination, and early manufacturing readiness
• Own debugging, root-cause analysis, and iterative improvements during pilot deployments
