WE’RE HIRING: MENSWEAR FASHION DESIGNER & PRODUCT DEVELOPER

BAYLON is an emerging modern premium fashion label developing its first collection—Collection 001.

We are looking for a talented menswear designer who can help translate BAYLON’s brand direction into a distinctive, cohesive and production-ready collection.

Our aesthetic is clean, architectural and confident, with an emphasis on premium materials, considered construction and recognisable silhouettes rather than excessive graphics or trend-led design.

Role: Full Time

Location: Mumbai preferred; hybrid collaboration possible

Duration: long-term role

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop the creative direction and design language for Collection

• Design premium T-shirts, shirts, polos, outerwear and coordinated bottoms

• Create original concepts, mood boards, colour stories and collection line-ups

• Develop technical flats, measurement specifications and factory-ready tech packs

• Recommend suitable fabrics, washes, trims and construction details

• Participate in sampling, fittings and design corrections

• Work with manufacturers and pattern makers to translate concepts into finished garments

• Help create distinctive silhouettes and product details that can become signatures of BAYLON

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR

• Strong portfolio in contemporary menswear, premium casualwear or elevated streetwear

• Good understanding of oversized and boxy garment construction, knitwear and woven products

• Experience creating detailed, production-ready tech packs

• Understanding of fabrics, garment washes, trims, patterns and manufacturing processes

• Ability to balance creative concepts with commercial wearability

• Strong visual taste and attention to proportion, fit and finishing

• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop; CLO 3D knowledge is an advantage

• Prior experience developing a collection from concept through sampling is preferred

SELECTION PROCESS

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to complete a small paid design assignment based on one BAYLON hero product. The assignment will help us evaluate concept development, silhouette thinking, technical execution and alignment with the brand.
