About Us

The Murphy Studio transforms walls into timeless art through bespoke wallpapers. We are looking for a Fine Artist with strong drawing and painting skills to create original artworks that inspire our collections.

Role Overview

You’ll craft hand-drawn and painted artworks—botanical, abstract, figurative, and more—that form the foundation of our wallpaper designs. This role blends fine art with interior applications, requiring creativity, detail orientation, and storytelling through visuals.

Key Responsibilities

• Create original hand-drawn/painted artworks for wallpaper collections.

• Work across mediums (watercolor, gouache, acrylic, ink, mixed media).

• Collaborate with designers to adapt artwork for large-scale production.

• Prepare and organize artwork for digitization.

• Stay updated with art and interior décor trends.

Requirements

• Degree/diploma in Fine Arts (preferred).

• Strong portfolio in drawing and painting.

• Ability to conceptualize detailed and large-scale works.

• Knowledge of digitization workflows is a plus.

• Passion for interiors and visual storytelling.

Nice to Have

• Experience in surface/textile/wallpaper design.

• Familiarity with Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator.

• Strong color theory and composition skills.
