Roles and Responsibilities -

Design and Concept Development:

Research and develop design concepts for furniture collections based on market trends, customer preferences, and functional needs.

Sketch and create 2D/3D models using design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Rhino, or similar tools).

Create mood boards, material samples, and prototypes to communicate design ideas.

Collaboration and Communication:

Work closely with the product development, marketing, and manufacturing teams to ensure designs are practical and feasible for production.

Present designs and concepts to clients, stakeholders, or internal teams, incorporating feedback to refine and improve designs.

Coordinate with engineers to ensure that designs meet structural and ergonomic standards.

Material Selection:

Prototyping and Testing:

Collaborate with the factory team to create prototypes and oversee testing for quality, comfort, and functionality.

Conduct evaluations of prototypes to assess comfort, stability, and user experience, adjusting designs as necessary.

Market Awareness:

Stay informed on current furniture design trends, consumer behavior, and competition to ensure designs are innovative and aligned with market needs.

Attend trade shows, furniture exhibitions, and design conferences to stay up-to-date with industry trends.

Familiarity with CAD and 3D modeling for furniture manufacturing.

Knowledge of global furniture market trends.
