Industrial Designer (0–2 Years Experience)

We are looking for a maker-first Industrial Designer, someone who prefers building over just modeling. If you enjoy working with your hands, prototyping quickly, and figuring things out on the fly, this role is for you.

OIMake is a Hyderabad-based tech toy company building DIY robotics kits and interactive products that turn play into hands-on, creative experiences powered by STEM. Our culture is deeply hands-on. We test ideas fast, build rough prototypes, and improve through iteration.

What You Will Do

• Design and develop DIY products, toys, and interactive systems.

• Create CAD models and refine them for real-world use.

• Rapidly prototype using laser cutting, basic fabrication, and available tools.

• Work closely with electronics and software teams to bring products to life.

• Think about manufacturability, cost, and usability from the beginning.

• Test, break, and improve designs through real usage.

• Contribute ideas and actively shape product direction.

What We Are Looking For

• 0–2 years of experience in industrial or product design.

• Strong CAD skills such as Fusion 360, SolidWorks, or similar tools.

• Understanding of basic machines, fabrication, and materials.

• Exposure to or interest in laser cutting and rapid prototyping.

• Strong interest in toys, play systems, or DIY products.

• A prototype-first mindset. Build and test early instead of waiting for perfect.

• Fast learner with a maker attitude and curiosity to explore.

• Someone who fits the team vibe. Hands-on, practical, and enjoys building things.

Location: Hyderabad (Work from Office)
