About
GoodEarth was initiated by a group of passionate engineers and architects in the late eighties, inspired by Laurie Baker’s explorations in alternative architecture and Gandhian ideals of sustainability and decentralized development. Over time, we’ve evolved into a multi-disciplinary organization rooted in holistic design, hands-on practice, and a commitment to ecological and social well-being. Our work spans landscape design, ecological restoration, regenerative agriculture, and community-oriented spaces.
Role
We are looking for a Junior Landscape Architect / Junior Architect to support our landscape and ecological design projects. The role involves supporting landscape design and execution across all project stages, from drawings and documentation to site coordination and as-built records.
What you’ll work on:
• Assisting in landscape design development for ecological and public-facing projects
• Preparing landscape drawings including layout plans, grading, sections, details, and planting drawings
• Supporting irrigation, drainage, and basic electrical drawings related to landscape works
• Translating ecological concepts into clear drawings and documentation
• Visiting project sites to:
Assisting with plant, material, and finish research, including sourcing and specifications
Preparing presentations and drawing sets for internal reviews, client discussions, and proposals
Maintaining organised drawing files, revisions, BOQs, and project documentation
Who we’re looking for:
• 0–2 years of experience in landscape, architectural, or ecological design practice
• Degree in Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Planning, or related fields
• Proficiency in AutoCAD (mandatory)
• Familiarity with SketchUp, Photoshop, or similar tools is an added advantage
• Basic understanding of landscape construction practices, materials, and plant systems
• Willingness to spend time on site and learn through execution
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• Interest in ecological systems, sustainability, and land-based design
