About the Role
We’re looking for a Learning Experience Design (LXD) Lead who thrives at the intersection of education, product, research, and behavior science. If you're excited by the challenge of transforming skilling ecosystems, building scalable tech-enabled content, and shaping future-ready learning experiences — this is the role for you.
As LXD Lead, you’ll drive the design and evolution of foundational and future skills programs across Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) and Vocational Training Institutes (VTIs). You’ll work on everything from national curriculum strategies and digital pilots to on-ground implementation and feedback loops, ensuring that equity, tech, and learner voice stay at the center.
What You’ll Do
🧩 Design & Innovation
Architect end-to-end program journeys for ITIs and VTIs, aligned with national frameworks and youth aspirations and ensuring the program offerings/journeys are scalable, productized, and data-enabled?
Lead the content strategy for foundational, green, and AI skills — including translation, versioning, and digital-first adaptations.
Partner with consultants, ecosystem actors, and content creators to co-build compelling learning experiences.
Keep learner experience, behavioral insights, and data central to the design process.
Collaborate wit Product Mgrs to ensure learner-centred user journeys, Ux flows, and tools for learners and facilitators
Drive user‑centered design and iterative prototyping with the learning product lifecycle
🧠 Pedagogy Meets Product
Translate facilitation models into self-paced, blended, and chatbot-based formats.
Reimagine assessments and activities to support personalization, motivation, and real-world connection.
Experiment with generative AI, gamification, and behavior nudges to deepen engagement.
🔁 Implementation & Feedback Loops
Co-design state-specific implementation plans and mentor state teams on design fidelity.
Conduct learning experience monitoring visits (~30% of sites) to track program quality.
Use learner, facilitator, and system-level data to inform continuous improvement.
Collaborate with Prod/Eng to pilot products with state teams, iterating collaboratively on design and tech features
📊 Data-Driven Iteration
Collaborate with Product, M&E, and Research teams to turn data into insight → into design.
Lead regular reviews of content usage, learner engagement, and platform interaction.
🌱 AI and Green Skills Integration
Shape how emerging skills show up in the lives of learners: through tools, mindsets, and career awareness.
Prototype and scale differentiated pathways for AI readiness and green transitions.
🧪 Build a Learning Culture
Lead internal knowledge-sharing and peer learning within the LXD team.
Build capacity of facilitators, partners, and state teams in inclusive pedagogy and learner-centered delivery.
What We’re Looking For
7–10 years of experience across edtech, learning design, product thinking, & education strategy.
Strong grasp of curriculum development, digital content formats, and blended learning models.
Comfort with using data, user research, and field feedback to guide design decisions.
Ability to collaborate across functions (product, M&E, state teams, partners) and manage timelines.
Passion for making learning equitable, joyful, and future-relevant.
Manage a team of content specialists, data/tech coordinators and work cross functionally with Product, M&E, and Capacity Building Team.
Why This Role?
Build at the cutting edge of GenAI, behavioral science, and social impact.
Shape the learning journeys of thousands of young people in India’s skilling ecosystem.
Be part of a bold team reimagining what learning looks like at scale.
