Lekha Washington Studio is offering an internship for design students or recent graduates interested in experiencing the unique environment of a multidisciplinary art and design studio. As an intern, you will assist the team with sketching, research, and early-stage prototyping for live studio projects. You will also support model-making, documentation, and material testing, helping the team develop ideas through experimentation. Interns will be encouraged to participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute creative inputs during the design process. Working alongside the studio team, you will gain insight into both the artistic and functional aspects of product design and understand how ideas evolve from concept to prototype.

We are looking for a design student or recent graduate with a strong interest in product design and making. Applicants should have a portfolio (academic or personal) that demonstrates creativity and a clear design process. Familiarity with basic design tools is helpful, but curiosity, adaptability, enthusiasm, and a collaborative spirit are equally important.
