The Opportunity:
A friend who makes a safe space
Most people don't have a place to be fully themselves. Sola is a global AI companion built to be that - warm, expressive, judgment-free. We're early and small, which means you'll have real ownership over the design from day one.
The role
You'll design how people meet Sola, fall into conversation with it, and build something that feels like a relationship - across experience, craft, writing, and motion. The hard part isn't making it pretty; it's making a digital being feel warm and worth returning to.
You'll work across everything, from research to shipped screens.
What you'll do
You're not just designing screens - you're designing the moment someone decides an AI understands them.
Design end-to-end flows: onboarding, core interactions, paywalls.
Move between wireframes, high-fidelity Figma, and UX copy that sounds human.
Turn user research into design decisions.
Iterate fast across directions, and let go of favourites when feedback says so.
What we're looking for
A portfolio that shows thinking, not just polish (case studies preferred).
Strong Figma skills and solid UX fundamentals - flow, hierarchy, interaction.
Ability to iterate quickly, communicate clearly, and take feedback well.
Curiosity about AI, conversational interfaces, and companion apps.
Comfort with ambiguity and early-stage pace.
Strong interns don't stay interns: do the work, and there's a full-time role waiting, with the chance to own a vertical of Sola's product design.
We're not looking for someone to decorate an app. We're looking for someone who wants to help invent what friendship with AI feels like.
6-month internship · Up to ₹50,000 stipend (based on interview rounds) · In-office, Bangalore
