ThunderClap is building a global design agency that produces international-level work. We're not there yet. But we're getting there fast.

We’ve grown to a 30-person team in just over a year, working with some of the best B2B tech companies across SaaS, AI, and deep tech. But great work doesn’t happen by accident. It takes leadership.

Your Mission, Should You Choose to Accept -

We are on the hunt for a talented and creative Illustrator to join our team at Thunderclap. As an Illustrator here, your work will be integral to our design and development teams, crafting high-quality visuals that elevate our web projects and enrich our overall brand identity. If you have a passion for creativity and an eye for detail, we want you to help us make some noise in the digital world!

Your Day-to-Day -

• Create original illustrations for websites that are visually engaging and align with project goals.

• Collaborate with brand and UI designers to understand project requirements and objectives.

• Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute creative ideas to enhance our projects.

• Develop illustrations that seamlessly integrate with the overall design concept and adhere to brand guidelines.

• Pitch concepts to clients and the internal team.

• Create high-quality artwork, including icons, characters, backgrounds, and various visual elements.

• Refine and improve illustrations based on feedback from the team and clients, demonstrating adaptability and attention to detail.

• Efficiently manage multiple projects, meeting deadlines while maintaining a good standard of quality and creativity.

What Makes You Stand Out -

• 4+ years of professional experience in illustration, with a strong portfolio demonstrating a range of styles and techniques.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to understand and follow brand guidelines.

• Experience working on explainers and video-led projects, with the ability to illustrate specifically for animation and motion use cases.

• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively.

• Ability to communicate and present work to clients.

• Excellent understanding of design principles, color theory, and other illustration foundations (composition, perspective, anatomy, etc).

• Ability to take constructive feedback and iterate on illustrations.

• Ability to give constructive feedback on illustrations.

• Ability to adapt to different illustration styles as per the brand requirements.

• Proficiency in industry-standard illustration software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and other relevant tools.

• Time management skills and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.

Bonus Skills -

• Experience with animation or motion graphics

• Knowledge of branding and marketing design strategies

• Knowledge of 3D modeling and rendering software

• Familiarity with UX/UI design principles
