Fixed Term position – 1 year (min)


The Mondelēz International Global Chocolate Design Hub has a very exciting opportunity, for an experienced and talented Creative, who will create innovative consumer experiences for the Global Chocolate Market.


The Fixed Term Design role is based in Thane (Mumbai), the main Hub for Mondelez’s Chocolate Design and creativity @ innovation in ASIA, with stakeholders across the globe.


As a senior designer you will play a crucial role overseeing end-to-end product design in projects driving consumer centric innovation and research programmes generating knowledge needed to create great consumer experiences for our global brands (Cadbury, Milka, Toblerone, etc). All of these, working as part of multi-disciplinary teams


To be successful in this role, you will be able to demonstrate at least 6 years of experience working and leading product design projects, supported by exceptional creative thinking skills and knowledge in consumer centricity tools. Project management competence and exceptional communication expertise will be essential in driving successful project outcomes.


As a passionate ‘all things creative’ you will have an entrepreneurial spirit and will be able to deliver executable proposals raising the already high standard of creativity within our company. You should have an impressive portfolio, showcasing successful products and innovative design solutions in the market, be a proficient presenter to explain and pitch your creations and the ability to liaise with senior and junior stakeholders.


The right candidate for this role should:


• Have a proven record as a Designer and a confident approach to creativity, innovation and a rational approach to product design and development. A minimum experience of 6 years in industry is required for this role.

• You will take ownership of your work where proactivity, leadership and autonomy driving initiatives will be key, whilst helping and collaborating with other designers & teams.

• Be familiar with Generative AI tools and technological trends. Incorporating them tools into different creative workflows to enhance design processes and output is essential.

• Be comfortable with connecting, communicating and liaising directly with senior and junior stakeholders as well as other cross functional project team members (Marketing, Product developers, Engineering, etc )

• Have a great understanding of the Design thinking principles, a very solid consumer centric approach to propose and develop ideas and research programs. Be able to identify and work with [consumer] insights, capitalising this on the creative process as a key element for design

• Be an innovative thinker with the ability to solve problems efficiently and realise the solutions with a Holistic Design mindset, keeping design at the centre of the consumer experience and consistent across all the different touchpoints.

• Be versed in current trends and technologies within the Design spectrum, rapid visualisation, rapid prototyping, Generative AI, Virtual Reality Environments, etc.

• Communicate efficiently not only through great sketch and CAD work, visualisation, and three-dimensional thinking but also as a great storyteller. You will propose solutions and will be open to take feedback and evaluate direction when needed.

• Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment with cross functional teams where open communication, idea sharing / building and constructive feedback are essential in the effective ways of working within the teams.

The main responsibilities for the designer are:

• To produce excellent quality creative thinking and ideas applicable to mass production with a consumer centric approach. Collaborating closely with cross functional teams to gather requirements, align objectives and drive project success.

• Utilise your excellent eye to detail and aesthetics to ensure designs are compelling, consider the brands guidelines, challenge the status quo and resonate with the consumer target groups.

• Understand the dynamic world of design and creativity tools and technology to maximise their utilisation across the Design function in Mondelez and applications within the wider R&D and commercial organisations.

• Inspire and motivate not only the members of the design team but the entire organisation with creative and innovative design proposals. Mentor and coach junior team members providing guidance, feedback, development opportunities to support their growth and success.
