Adventure Worx is looking to hire an Outdoor Softgoods Designer to take ownership of the design and development of its outdoor product range. This role involves spearheading all new product development initiatives and playing a key part in shaping how Adventure Worx products are conceived, developed, and brought to market.

The designer will be responsible for continuous research into the outdoor and sporting goods industry in order to stay updated on materials, construction techniques, manufacturing processes, and evolving user needs. In parallel, the role involves managing and improving the existing product range through periodic design updates and refinements based on performance, feedback, and market relevance.

This role acts as the custodian for all product designs, overseeing the entire journey from initial concepts and sketches through sampling and detailed tech packs. The designer will work closely with external design resources when required and will own and manage the in-house prototype-making team to ensure design intent, quality, and timelines are maintained.

Strong coordination with internal manufacturing teams as well as outsourced production partners is a core responsibility. The designer will support production planning and procurement-related work, ensuring that design details, construction quality, and delivery timelines are aligned. Regular interaction with key suppliers will be required to explore new raw materials, components, and construction solutions suitable for outdoor use, as well as to identify and address gaps in quality standards and required certifications.

The role also requires close collaboration with the marketing and branding teams to ensure a consistent design language and product narrative across all communication channels. Beyond design-specific responsibilities, the designer is expected to contribute across departments to support faster, more efficient growth of the brand in a startup environment.

The primary design focus will be on outdoor softgoods, including backpacks and rucksacks, tents and shelter systems, packable outdoor furniture such as chairs, and other hiking, cycling, and running-related gear. Design decisions should prioritize functionality, durability, packability, cost efficiency, and suitability for real-world outdoor conditions, particularly within the Indian and regional context.
