About Darn Games

Darn Games is a funded gaming startup, backed by a renowned industrialist and serial entrepreneur. We’re building a genre-defining product in stealth, combining gaming, behavioral science, and reward systems to engage the next 500 million users in India.

Our goal is to redefine mobile gaming for Bharat — accessible, habit-forming, and truly rewarding.

We’re currently in build mode, and are looking for creative, committed collaborators to join us on contract and potentially grow into long-term team members.

About the Project

We’re looking for a freelance UI/UX Designer to work closely with our product and founding team to bring our app’s interface and user experience to life. This includes end-to-end UI design for mobile (Android/iOS), aligned with gaming-centric aesthetics, behavioral triggers, and Tier 2/3 accessibility.

You’ll be responsible for designing key user journeys, interface visuals, and game-integrated screens — all within a playful, high-conversion, mobile-first framework.

Scope of Work

• Wireframes, low/high-fidelity mockups for key journeys: onboarding, dashboard, game lobbies, leaderboards, reward wallet, referral flow

• UI design of interactive game screens, overlays, reward animations, and micro-interaction concepts

• Creation of a reusable design system in Figma

• Delivery of production-ready assets for development (icons, UI states, animation frames)

• Collaboration with founder + dev team on weekly check-ins

• Game UI (HUD elements, scoreboard, winning screen animations, etc.)

Who We’re Looking For

• 1–3 years of experience designing mobile apps, preferably consumer-first or gaming/entertainment apps

• Strong command of Figma (bonus: Lottie/After Effects, Illustrator, Photoshop)

• A sharp design eye, fast iteration ability, and openness to collaborative feedback

• Prior freelance/remote experience managing deadlines and deliverables

• Bonus if you understand designing for Bharat: localization, dopamine loops, simplicity

• Must have a portfolio of mobile-first designs (gaming experience is a big plus)

What’s in It for You

• Opportunity to lead UI/UX design for a new gaming product from scratch

• Work with a high-velocity founding team building for massive scale

• Real creative freedom and ownership of interface design

• Visibility and attribution for your work (if preferred)

• Strong performers will be considered for a full-time role with:

• Competitive salary

• Performance-based bonuses

• ESOPs and leadership track
