UI/UX Designer — Gen-Z Fashion App (Contract / Freelance / PT)

We’re building Runway Avenue — a mood-based fashion styling app that helps Gen Z users express themselves and shop with ease. Think less fast scroll, more intentional fashion discovery. Our platform merges cultural relevance, editorial storytelling, and frictionless styling tools to eliminate decision fatigue and spark self-expression.

We’ll be launching in both the US and Indian fashion markets, designing for a global Gen Z audience that moves between trends, aesthetics, and moods effortlessly.

Now we’re looking for a UI/UX designer who feels design — someone who doesn’t just push pixels, but helps us build a living, breathing interface that feels like fashion.

What You’ll Do

• Co-create screens and user flows for our mobile and web platform, from early wireframes to high-fidelity visuals

• Build intuitive, editorial-style interactions that feel intentional, not templated

• Collaborate with product and branding teams to align UX with narrative design and emotional experience

• Design fluid systems that scale across states and moods — lightweight, visual-first, and expressive

• Bring a fresh perspective to hierarchy, typography, motion, and layout, optimizing for both clarity and vibe

• Help define the design language and interaction patterns that make Runway Avenue feel distinct in a sea of sameness

What We’re Looking For

• A strong portfolio showcasing UI/UX design, visual systems, or concept-driven interface work (yes, your passion projects count!)

• A sharp eye for aesthetic balance, spatial rhythm, and visual storytelling

• Solid understanding of user-centered design principles, especially on mobile-first flows

• Ability to work async and own tasks from brief to delivery, while open to creative iteration

• Proficiency in tools like Figma (preferred), Sketch, Adobe XD — or whatever helps you move fast and think visually

• Bonus if you love fashion, subcultures, or visual internet culture
